Despite the increased use of texting by telemarketers, Missouri residents were unable to add cellphone numbers to the state’s No Call list. That changed Thursday, after Governor Jay Nixon signed House Bill 1549 into law.
As long as they have a Missouri address, consumers can now add any personal cellphone number to the registry. These numbers are reported quarterly to telemarketers, so those who sign up before July 31st should expect unwanted calls to stop by October 1st.
