Socket to bring fiber internet to Moberly neighborhoods
Socket is proud to announce the expansion of its fiber-optic broadband network throughout Moberly, which will bring internet speeds up to one gigabit per second to local residents.
The Columbia-based telecommunications provider expanded its fiber-optic network to Moberly businesses earlier this year, and now plans to offer the service to residential customers as well.
“Moberly businesses have responded very positively to our high-speed fiber internet services,” said George Pfenenger, Socket CEO and co-owner. “We’re excited to bring the same technology to Moberly residents.”
Socket will choose which areas to expand based on customer demand. The first neighborhoods being considered include Cedar Lake, Cedar Ridge, Fox Run, Quail Haven and select homes along Union Avenue and Vincil Street. Others who are interested in the service can visit www.socket.net/fiberhood to request expansion to their area.
