Socket has teamed up with the Susan G. Komen foundation for the third year in a row in support of the Race For The Cure sponsored by the Mid-Missouri Affiliate of the organization.

The race is on Sunday September 16, at 8:30 a.m. Over the years the race in Columbia has raised nearly $1 million in support of breast cancer research. Not everyone will be able to make the race time slot, but that’s ok.

There are other ways to participate in the Race For The Cure as well. By visiting the organization's website, those who are not interested in running may register to “Sleep In For The Cure” and donate $35 to receive a Race For The Cure t-shirt in the mail.

Anyone unable to race due to religious obligations may also donate $35 under the “Pink in the Pew” option and receive a shirt in the mail as well as something pink to wear for church on September 16^th.
