Congratulations to Tim Bruton, Commercial Fiber Technician, on being named Socket’s You-Make-The-Difference Winner for August!

Tim was job searching online, saw Socket’s position opening and decided to apply. He got a call from Socket to come in for an interview and he has now been at Socket for over 4 years.

As a Commercial Fiber Technician, Tim helps Socket’s business customers get connected to the internet! He describes it as the most rewarding job he’s ever had. “By the end of the day, I felt I made the customer’s day with my work performance. If you love what you do, it’s never work.”

One coworker who nominated Tim said, “Tim is an awesome all-around Socketeer who is constantly exemplifying Socket’s core values. He’s kind, always looking to help others, and you will never see him without a smile on his face!”

Outside of work, Tim enjoys mentoring. He’s a Big with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Missouri. He says he loves volunteering in his community. Tim and his wife have a PomChi named Bella. Bella thinks she’s his girlfriend and enjoys long car rides and listens to soft music. He’s also a “football head” and loves Mizzou football and the Kansas City Chiefs! You may also find Tim reading a history book.

As for his favorite part of working at Socket, Tim says it’s the family atmosphere. “I come from a big family, so family is really important to me.” Congratulations, Tim!
