In addition to the Keep Americans Connected Pledge Socket announced on March 17, they are also increasing bandwidth for customers. All residential fiber network customers will receive the fastest speeds available up to 1Gbps. Socket will automatically increase speeds at no additional cost for 60 days. This increase is effective March 18, 2020. Socket is hopeful this will better support individuals working from home, and students that need increased internet access due to the school closures across our state.
