One of our employees drove by a competitor's fiber network here in Columbia.  Looks like their fiber is trying to escape! 

Would hate to be the employee who has to shove this all back into a hole in the ground.

Great news, Socket fiber customers! 

While we have been delayed while waiting for additional approvals from DC to get more homes connected with fiber for the last 3 weeks, we are happy to announce that fiber installs are set to begin again on August 10! 

Construction in Fulton West is officially underway as fiber light signals have been served to the Fulton Fiber hut. Over the next few weeks construction crews will be delivering fiber drops to customers who have been patiently waiting for Fiber Internet and Phone service.

We are continuing to make strides in establishing the first section of our Fiber networks connections in Millersburg, MO with another business connection being served to Millersburg Veterinary Hospital.

Veterinarians at the hospital were excited to get the connection established and ready to see what kind of impact having a much faster Internet connection would have on their ability to provide animal and pet care services. 

Fiber To The Home installations in Millersburg, MO are still going smoothly as Socket prepares to start construction in the West of Fulton phase. To prepare for the expansion we are placing and receiving tons of equipment orders daily.

This week we received a large shipment of fiber optic cables that add up to over 140 miles in length!

Ridenhour Directional Boring out of Jefferson City, MO has multiple crews working hard in Fulton, MO on the initial steps to delivering fiber broadband to the area, including placing conduit, hand holes, and placing the main backbone fiber line from Socket's fiber hut near the water tower in Fulton.

Fiber construction in the West of Fulton phase is projected to begin on July 1st. The Fulton and East of Fulton phase is projected to begin on August 10th.

Residential Fiber To The Home connections are progressing quickly. We have over 13 active connections being served currently, and two installations a day are being scheduled through FiConnect.

Our customers have been patiently waiting to receive their high-speed Internet connections and we expect to start scheduling more installations per day shortly. Plans for expanding the service area are underway.
