Socket Sends Director of Business Improvement to International Fiber to the Home Conference
Socket recently participated in an international fiber to the home conference in Anaheim, CA, with the purpose of continuing to bring fiber Internet to Missouri that operates on the leading edge of fiber Internet technology.

"Fiber's On Fire" in 2015
According to a recent study released by the Fiber to the Home (FTTH) Council, in conjunction with research partner RVA, fiber deployments grew by 13% in the United States in 2015. Nearly 3 million homes were passed with fiber this year, bringing the total amount to around 26 million - and nearly 50% of those homes are now directly connected to that fiber network.
Customers with fiber to the home connections, at any speed, report 50% higher satisfaction than those on cable and DSL networks. It's just another reason we're focused on getting fiber access to as many places in mid-Missouri as possible.
Ribbon Cutting at Memorial Park
On Thursday, May 7th, Socket officially launched a free wireless hotspot in Memorial Park, near downtown Fulton. And what better way to do that than with a party?
Socketeers, Chamber members and Fulton residents all came out for free food and raffles, while kids enjoyed the bouncehouse and nearby splash park. Luckily, the weather stayed mostly sunny and warm - and when a twenty-minute downpour struck, the kids seemed to enjoy it just as much as the other entertainment!
